Directions to the Leicester Branch
of the BCSS

From M1 North and South and M69

Leave M1 at Junction 21 or M69 at the end of the motorway. Follow signs to Leicester. At the first traffic light controlled roundabout take second exit left, A5460, sign-posted (City (use inside lane). Proceed along A5460, which is a dual carriageway to first set of traffic lights. Look out for the Premier Inn on your right, but keep in left hand lane. Turn left into Braunstone Lane, and follow directions below.

From East (A47)

Follow signs for City and Central Ring (A594). Central Ring is clearly sign-posted M1 and M69. Follow Motorway signs at St. Nicholas' Circle (Holiday Inn in centre) keep to left hand lane.

DO NOT TAKE ALTERNATIVE ROUTE signed on gantry.

At traffic lights filter left into A5460 and follow M1 and M69 signs. When road becomes dual carriageway, keep to right hand lane. As you pass an Esso garage on your left, followed by the Premier Inn, take right hand filter at traffic lights signed Braunstone into Braunstone Lane, then follow directions  below.

From the North (A50/A46)

Take the A46 West following signs for M1, then M1 South. Turn off the A46 at the last exit before the Motorway, signed 'Non-Motorway Traffic' and follow signs for Braunstone Frith. At the traffic lights (junction with A47) go straight on past Braunstone Town sign.

Follow this road (Braunstone Lane) for 0.9 mile, where after a series of sharp S bends, a right turn is signed Winstanley School and Community College into Bidford Road. Continue along Bidford Road to T junction and turn left into Kingsway North. The College is first on right.

From the South (A6)

Proceed on A6 through Oadby, at the next roundabout (Racecourse on your left) turn left into the Outer Ring A563. Stay on Outer Ring and follow signs to M1 and M69. As you approach a major traffic controlled roundabout you will see Fosse Park Shopping Centre signed to your right. At roundabout follow signs for A5460 City. Proceed along A5460, which is a dual carriageway, keep in left hand lane. At first set of traffic lights (Premier Inn on your right), turn left into Braunstone Lane, then follow directions detailed below.

From Braunstone Lane

Proceed along Braunstone Lane. Turn left into Bidford Road (signed Winstanley School and Community College). Continue along Bidford Road to T junction and turn left into Kingsway North. The College is first on the right.
